I think I’ll stay where it’s shallow.

It’s warm and comfortable here.

I don’t have to worry about falling.

And the sand feels great on my toes.

I think it’s stay where it’s shallow.

Where I can keep everything under control.

Have it just the way I want it.

With nothing and no one in the way.

I think I’ll stay where it’s shallow.

It’s really the best spot to be.

No need to go out any further.

This is the place where I belong.

You may call me foolish,

lame and misguided.

but I think I’ll stay where it’s shallow

Because I’m terrified of what waits in the deep.
